    Vacation   Bible School has come and gone and wow, what a week!  Of course we are all exhausted.  That's just part of VBS.  But this was a terrific week for the kids.  I think they learned a lot and had a great time with one another. 

    Our theme was:  Castaway Bay- Where Faith Conquers Fear and all Doubts are Cast Away.  Studies included the stories of:  Naaman Obeys God, Josiah and the Lost Scroll, Jehoshaphat Trusts God, Elijah in the Presence of God, and Jonah Runs from God.

    We want to thank all our teachers and their helpers.  You put so much into your classes.  We appreciate the craft people, snack makers and outdoor activities directors.

    And let's not forget our skit actors and actresses.  Denise, Greg, and Patty did an awesome job with their roles.  It was a mixture of the 60's subculture and Robinson Crusoe.  Let's give Oscars all around for these three.

    We also had a whole lot of visitors.  Average attendance was about 114.  Our kids sure do a great job of bringing their friends.  We adults need to imitate them and bring our families, neighbors, and co-workers to Bible study with us.  Outstanding job kids!

    Nolan and Patty in particular gave so much of themselves to make VBS successful.  We appreciate you!
