Youth Ministry The Ravenna Church of Christ provides a variety of opportunities for our youth, grades 7-12. The goal is to help young people to develop spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Through the efforts of our Youth minister and participating adults, we try to find activities that will capture the interest of each young person. There are several activities in particular that we involve out youth in. "The Bible Bowl", held at Ohio Valley University, is a prime example of providing spiritual, social and emotional growth while promoting a deeper study of the word of God, the Bible. There are also youth camps and youth rallies that we try to attend. In the future, we hope to grow in numbers and in activities. Ideally, we will be involved in several service oriented projects which will help develop a servant attitude in our young people. We strive to make the Youth Group a part of the congregation and not a separate entity itself. Junior Youth Junior Youth is a ministry for kids in grades 1-6. We have a junior youth night once a month on a Friday night. Youth night activities include a devotional, good food, and a time of activity; whatever games we choose to play. Our Junior Youth is also involved in service projects like planting flowers around the church and a clean up day, alongside their parents and other adults. It's not all work though. We oftentimes enjoy a day at Geauga Lake, bowling, putt-putt, or roller skating. Junior Youth is a great opportunity to get children involved in service training and fellowship. Foreign Missions The Ravenna Church of Christ is a mission minded church. For many years we have worked with several different mission works throughout the world. We have been involve the past in Layte in the Philllippines, World Radio Japan, and the Chimala mission and hospital in Tanzania, Africa We are currently involved in he work of Kwakwani and Hururu missions in Guyana. A permanent meeting place has been erected in both Kwakwani and in Hururu. We are also involved in mission work in Russia.
